Aliza Amihude, a Winnipeg-based jewellery designer and jazz musician, led a fantastic jewellery workshop at NorVA this weekend. Workshop attendees learned how to bend, shape and heat copper with a flame in order to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. Aliza joined us in Flin Flon last Sunday, and got to know a number of the artists and residents of Flin Flon, as she worked with several NorVA artists and taught art classes at both Hapnot and Ruth Betts schools during the week. You can get a glimpse into the workshop from the pics below. Better yet, come into NorVA this week and see what we made! Interested in joining our next workshop? NorVA workshops are reasonably priced and open to everyone. We even offer scholarships on request. Learn more here, or join us for our First Friday workshop on January 7th, or check in at www.norvacentre.com regularly for news on what's happening at NorVA this winter.
