NorVA Flin Flon’s Northern Visual Arts Centre brings you the NorVA Artist Retreat! The 4th NorVA Artist Retreat is being held at the Bakers Narrows Conference Centre. Enjoy the company of fellow artists in a week long non instructional retreat. The relaxed, generous, sharing atmosphere will light the creative fire within. August 17th to the 24th, 2014 at the Bakers Narrows Conference Centre - it's gorgeous and the camping at the Provincial campground is really special, they have yurts too. The Lodge has log cabin rentals right on site. From August 17th to 24th, the Conference Centre at Bakers Narrows will be transformed into artist studio space. Photographers, writers, filmographers, poets, sculptors, batik artists, musicians, composers, painters are all welcome to attend this retreat. The intent is to create a tranquil setting far from the whirl of everyday responsibilities. Artists can indulge themselves in new and wildly bizarre art projects in the supportive company of like minded individuals. Collaborative projects spring up between two, three and even four artists. It is fascinating and exciting to watch the group come together as they share meals, ideas and knowledge with one another.
