This exciting workshop presented by accomplished potter Elaine Angelski offered a great entry point into the rich world of Ceramic Arts. The workshop consisted of a building class, that covered classical through contemporary forms and building techniques, and a second class for glazing techniques. Two Saturdays, $100 including instruction, clay, firing and glazing costs.

Alternative Media Workshop with Dean Bauche, May 2013
Saturday May 18th: Visiting artist and mentor, Dean Bauche capped off his mentorship program with a public workshop exploring alternative media. Focusing on encaustic and mixed media collage participants learned to create interesting art out of just about anything!

About the Artist
Cam Forbes is a painter and visual artist. Originally from rural north-west Saskatchewan, Cam has led art programming in community and school settings for over ten years. Most recently she has been the executive director for Winnipeg’s inner city art centre, Art City.
She holds a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and has studied craft at the Kootenay School of Arts in Nelson BC and community engaged practices at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Cam has exhibited her work across Canada, in galleries, and by means of alternative settings, such as public access television, the internet, and local arts festivals. As an artist, she develops painting projects that involve people in her community and connects their stories with others.
